RETAINING EMPLOYEES IN TIGHT LABOR MARKETS

Steve Ellis has been a contractor for almost twenty years. Many business owners who've been operating that long think their processes work because they've "always done it this way."

Steve introduced a four day work week with ten hour days for his drivers which positioned him well to recruit and retain in a tight labor market. Only three states had lower Unemployment Rates in October 2019 than Colorado's 2.6 rate. The national level was 3.6 for the same month.

Are you recruiting in markets with low unemployment rates? Are you prepared for seven day operations?
